It's amazing how fast April went and now half of May. I'm going to attempt to catch up on all of the wonderful events of the past month & a half. First I'll start with Dallin's 8th birthday party...
It all began with a non-typical birthday invitation that was too large to mail and had to be hand delivered... inviting Dallin's friends on a secret mission (click to enlarge and read inside):
The briefcase cake that I made for Dallin! Beware, you never know what's inside....
As an agent in training, they found metal objects in the cake. Those objects turned out to be coins. Whoever found the only quarter won a prize. Stephen, on the left, was the lucky one to win a disguise! I'm sure you're all dying for that prize. Right!?!
Each of the boys made their own pizza. I was surprised that at least one boy didn't want any pizza sauce. That sounds yucky to me (and it didn't look too great). But the others made yummy looking pizzas. Dallin invited 8 friends and every one of them came!
I've barely scratched the surface of the three hour action packed party. It was really fun and lots of work! But it was worth every minute of it when Dallin talked about it so much and I even got phone calls from two of the moms afterwards saying "He had such a great time that he wants a spy party for his next birthday party!"

I love that idea. How fun and perfect for a little boy. Will you plan my next birthday party? :)
So awesome! It was fun looking at all the stuff when we came to your house!
Steph!
Sorry I missed your birthday - I hope it was a great day.
And as for the party - so cute! I loveall those ideas - way to be creative!
Wow---how creative! And, reading about the "coins" in the cake sure brought back some great memories of growing up & cake time! :-)
Sounds like a way fun party. You had some really good ideas. Hope you don't care if I steal some for our next b-day party :-) Did the other Mom's know you were doing a video for Alexa's graduation? I bet they were so surprised and loved it. What a great idea! Lashelle
