Turning 7 is fun!

Dallin had a fun birthday on the 5th. Grammy & Grandpa Johnson came to celebrate it (and listen to General Conference too). Between conference sessions we celebrated by Grandpa taking us all to Chuck E Cheese.

There were 7 layers of wrapping paper and then a brick! Dallin couldn't figure out why he got a brick from Grammy & Grandpa. Is that like getting coal in your stocking?!? But under it all was a gift card to Half Price Books. Dallin will LOVE using that. It's obvious he loves books by his birthday cake (see picture below)!

Dallin, Alexa & Grandpa at Chuck E Cheese.

The kids loved using the 100 tokens and even munched some pizza & tickets (you have to go there to know what I'm talking about). My favorite game was Deal or No Deal. It's new since I was there last. It's hard to tell that Dallin is happy:

Dallin loved finding his presents with the traditional hot & cold game. His favorite was the Beagle Webkinz dog. Dallin's new favorite thing to do after school is play with his dog, Charlie, on www.webkinz.com. It has games to earn pretend money. The money allows you to take your pet to the doctor, buy it food & buy furniture for your rooms. Who knew a Webkinz pet could be so cool. I wish I had invented it!

Maybe I should have got Jared Playdoh for his birthday. He looks excited to have it! :)

It was fun spending a weekend with Grammy & Grandpa. Thanks for coming!

Happy Birthday Dallin!

Did you do that cake yourself? If so, very impressive!

Yep, I did the cake myself. It's the first time I've tried "writing icing" for the text. Thanks for the compliment.

Looks like fun. I hope it is equally fun to turn 30. Now I know who to call for my birthday cake. What a clever design. I like the brick idea. Maybe I will wrap one up for Hayley's 7th next week.

How Fun!! I love the cake! What a great idea....it looks totally professional! So are you loving the webkins too? The kids love for me to play games for them to earn a little extra cash! There are actually a few that are really quite entertaining.

Very cute. I don't think Jordan and I will ever forget watching Dallin open his Christmas present at the Christmas Eve party in 06. I don't even remember what he got but he was SO excited and it was 'exactly what he wanted'. So I can only imagine how much fun he had for his birthday. The pictures help with the imagining part... :)

Oh, and I really like your hair cut too... very flattering ;)
