We celebrated Independence Day at a small town parade in McKinney, Texas. They have an old, preserved downtown that is fun to walk down. The kids LOVED the parade since they got tons of candy. There wasn't much to look at but it was worth our 15 minutes of attention for the kids to be happy. We enjoyed Braum's icecream cones afterwards too.
What can I say?!?
Lance kept stealing my chair during the parade.
Enjoying the view of the sunset from our house.
What's better than dressing up as cows? $24 of free food! That's right -- we celebrated National Cow Day at Chick-fil-a and enjoyed a free dinner (and lunch leftovers the next day too).
My brother, Kevin, and his family came all the way from Sahurita (Tucson), Arizona to visit us!!! Alexa LOVED playing with her cousin Eliza, who is her same age.

Savannah, Dallin & Brittany -- they had so much fun together!
We tried to get Lincoln and Lance's picture together (they are just a few months apart in age) but apparently that didn't work! :)
Here are the boys all happy!

Playing the Skittle game where when you roll a 6 on the die, you get to use your straw to suck up a Skittle and put it in your little container in front of you. That continues until the next person rolls a 6. When the bowl of Skittles is gone, the game is over. You get to eat whatever Skittles you put in your own container. Such a fun game for all ages!
