Christmas Eve & Christmas Day

For Christmas break, we drove down to Houston to celebrate the holiday with Jared's family. All of his siblings and their families were there but one (missed you Shaulan). Per my insistance, on Christmas Eve we went caroling. It was super cold but everyone sounded great since they can all harmonize. My favorite was the repetitive "Oh Christmas Tree"; it was silly. :) Then we went to Jared's parents house and did a short reenactment of the Nativity with all out costumes. Jared's mom borrowed four tubs of clothes to choose from; they were the best costumes ever!

"...and they were sore afraid." Jared's dad played the part very well!

The entire crew.

Alexa was such a good helper at keeping the toddlers entertained!

Dallin loves his new Nintendo DS Gameboy!

Alexa got just what she asked for: a talking & crying baby doll that can even "drink" a bottle.

Lance wasn't too thrilled with the Leap Frog text & learn toy that Santa brought. But he loves his new church bag (with his name on it) filled with things to do during church. Also, Aunt Melanie made him a really cool ABC book with a picture for each letter of the alphabet!!! My parents gave each kid the personalized pillow cases. And I made the big brother & big sister shirts (our new baby has a "little sister" shirt too).

The train around the tree was mesmerizing.

Lance with 3 of the 4 Johnson cousins his age (Lance is two and the other three are 1 1/2).

I find a lot of ideas off that ladies blog. You will see the art work idea I copied from her as well. The green light I found on clearance at home depot. They had orange spot light bulbs back in the lighting section on clearance as well. I also just used 1/2 inch ply wood. Time to update your blog!
