Space Center Houston

Our last day in Houston (12/29/09) was spent at Space Center Houston. We toured the inside of a Space Shuttle, watched the history of NASA on a ginormous screen, ate an overpriced lunch, got pressed pennies as souvenirs, and watched another movie on space too. We touched a REAL moon rock and learned more about space through some of the exhibits. Dallin & Alexa loved the kids climbing/playground/ball area too.

Matthew, Jenni & Micah Georgeson and Grammy were with us also.

Lance & Jared

Dallin was in his element! He loves to learn and is happy with anything.

All three kids tested out this "Flying in Space" machine that you control with the joystick and it moves the chair up and down.

Dallin did very well and hit both targets in 30 seconds with the laser (targets are pictured below)

It was a fun one-time experience (but quite overpriced, imo). Lance was very grouchy most of the time but Dallin & Alexa enjoyed the experience. We even drove the four hours back to our home in Allen after spending the entire day at the Space Center. We arrived in Allen after midnight to snow covered grass (a rare occurance).

Sounds like a fun and educational place to go. That explains why you got home so late that night, I wondered.:)

Looks like you all had a bunch of fun! I love your personal church bags idea for each child!
