First pair of glasses

A few months ago I received a notice from the school that Dallin needed his eyes checked. I was less than motivated to go to the eye doctor...but finally took Dallin in January with the start of new vision insurance. He is nearsighted and needed glasses. After picking out the glasses following the vision appointment, I was shocked at how it was still going to cost me around $200 even after insurance had paid a lot. So we went to Walmart and picked out even better glasses for more than half the price. The glasses are designed where they can bend in the middle and the arms can bend any direction. It's so cool that they make such kid-friendly glasses.

Anyhow, here's our 3rd grader with his first pair of glasses:

Dallin wore his new glasses to school yesterday and when asked how it was to have glasses, he enthusiastically replied, "It was awesome! I loved being able to see the board and everything else." Sure love that boy!

What a good looking boy - with and without glasses! I'll admit, I'm a fan of the new technology they've put in glasses - I've had them since 6th grade, and they've sure some a long way.

Yay! Glasses are fun! Hey, try zennioptical.com. I got my glasses for $13 shipped. (You do need an extra measurement that they don't normally include in the prescription, but my doc was happy to comply.)

Being able to see clearly is great! I had to get glasses in 3rd grade and so did your cousin, Josh. You look handsome in your glasses, Dallin!

those are some cute glasses! Your very lucky he's so excited to wear glasses. I had students lose, break or just constantly "forget" to bring theirs.

Doesn't it make you feel a bit bad that you waited so long to get them? He couldn't even see the board. He does look nice with them.
